I love dogs but dogs don’t love road salt

Can somebody tell me why we have to salt every walking surface there is out there. I mean especially in the Subs. People in this province love dogs but dogs don’t love salt. It burns the h#$$ out of their paws and it is painful. Just try and rub some salt in a wound that you have and you’ll se what I mean or feel if you like. Many places in Europe and also some places here are using sand and gravel mix. Hey they even heat it up so it stays in place when it hits the ground.

Food for thought..

Recession – They all want you to believe it’s recession!!

The Banks are still making good money here in Canada. Seem they are still in the Billion dollar range most of them. He#@ maybe they should tell our friend south of the border how it’s done!
I heard a good definition for this the other day. The first place to be sold out when traveling is first class. The concerts that are held in most cities are sold out in record time. There is money in people’s pockets and they still spend what they want, when they want so the recession is not very deep yet. Big business wants you to believe that it is recession and it probably is but it doesn’t mean that we roll over and play dead and take all they throw at us at face value.

We are already in March 2009

Can you believe this, it’s already March. The winter flew by very fast I think. Maybe it’s just me – oh well so be it. Been away for a while but finally back at it again. Montreal is still in it’s winter sleep. Not much more than pot holes and snow cleaning going on with our city workers. Can you believe this weather, freezing cold and the next thing you see is RAIN… There is a lot of things happening in the  environment since we are getting creamed as we are these days. It’s all upside down and probably will be for long time to come..
